MIAMI TWP. -- The man who was struck and killed while crossing State Route 725 has been identified.
William J. Kish, 32, of Carlisle had been staying with a friend at a nearby motel when he crossed the busy road, near Mall Woods Drive in Miami Township, with a dog at 9:30 p.m. Monday.
The dog reportedly died at the scene. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office will perform an autopsy on Kish's body. Sgt. Krammer of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said they are investigating the death but initial reports do not indicate any negligence on the driver's part. The driver's identity has not been reported and is only identified as a male in his 20s.

MIAMI TWP. -- State troopers are now investigating the deaths of a man who was hit and killed while walking his dog on State Route 725 Monday night. The animal also died in the crash.
Sgt. David Robison says the victim, who was in his 30s, was not crossing in a crosswalk when he was struck.
The driver, said to be in his 20s, was very shaken up at the scene, but will likely not face any charges.
