Man Shot in Hand Says Two Suspects Demanded Money Before Shooting Him

HARRISON TWP. -- Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting early Tuesday morning after a man showed up with a gunshot wound to the hand.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies responded to Good Samaritan Hospital about 4 a.m. Tuesday and spoke to the victim, who said he as walking along Williamson Drive, near Otis Drive, in Harrison Township when two men approached the victim on foot and demanded money.

The victim said one man produced a handgun. The victim told police he raised both hands and told the suspects he didn't have any money. Deputies say the armed suspect fired one shot, striking the victim in the hand. The suspects allegedly fled on foot and the victim ran to a friend's house and was driven to the hospital.

The suspects were described as black males wearing dark clothing. Deputies are investigating.
