WEST CHESTER (AP) -- Supporters of gun-rights in southwest Ohio are planning a rally as part of a national campaign aimed at strengthening opposition against proposed new gun laws.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the rally will begin at noon next Saturday and is one of many events being organized across the country. The "Day of Resistance" rally will be held at The Square at Union Centre in West Chester about 15 miles north of Cincinnati.
Organizers say the goal is to rally opposition against the proposed laws and raise awareness of what gun-rights supporters say are attacks on their right under the U.S. Constitution to keep and bear arms.
