DAYTON -- Dayton Power and Light is increasing its rebate on outdated and inefficient appliances from $40 to $50.
The rebate is intended to help DP&L customers save money and protect the environment.
“That old refrigerator could be costing you $150 a year, especially if it’s older than ten years or you have a second fridge running in your garage,” said DP&L’s Tom Tatham, who leads the energy efficiency programs.
Since 2009, DP&L has recycled more than 17,000 inefficient refrigerators and freezers – recycling and reusing nearly 100 percent of the metals, glass and other materials.
DP&L will pick up your old refrigerator or freezer at no cost.
