DAYTON -- Dayton students put their vocabularies to the test tonight.
The 65th Annual Dayton Public School District-Wide Spelling Bee was held at Wright Brothers Pre-K through 8 school Wednesday night, Jan. 21, 2015.
A huge congratulations to the winner of tonight's event for the second year in a row was Emily Helm. Emily will once again represent Dayton Public Schools in the Regional Spelling Bee next month.

"I'm kind of excited. it was really fun and the competition was good. they all did well," said Emily.
Last year Emily made it all the way to Washington D.C. and she told us that she's spent the last month or two studying with her dad each night so that she was ready.
