Active Shooter Training For Montgomery County Workers

DAYTON -- Employees at the Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board, also known as ADAMHS, had an active shooter training for their employees Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015.

The approach was ALICE which stands for - Alert, Lockdown, Inform, and Evaluate. ALICE is a controversial training approach that's also been adopted by many local schools.

ADAMHS Executive Director Helen Jones-Kelley, "The kinds of incidences we're seeing, people are actively engaged in finding us and to be honest killing people. It's a different world. So we have to be actively engaged in out own defense."

Deputies also gave employees tips on everyday objects they can use in the office to fight back.
