GREENVILLE – A 35-year-old man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of trafficking drugs near a school.
According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, Erik Straub was charged with drug trafficking after the sheriff’s office Narcotics Unit and Greenville Police officers, searched the home at 216 Victoria Drive in Greenville. They said they found prescription medication, drug paraphernalia and “other items indicative of trafficking drugs.”
The investigation was prompted by ongoing complaints of drug trafficking in the area, deputies said.
“One of the most effective weapons is the information received from concerned citizens who observe and report illegal activities in their areas,” the Sheriff’s Office reports. “Citizens are encouraged to contact the Darke County Sheriff’s Office at 937-548-2020 with information regarding any criminal activity.
