TROTWOOD -- The woman who was accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death was sentenced today.
40-year-old Chantell Spears has been convicted and sentenced for killing Delshaun Jones in July 2013.
The night of the incident Spears located Jones at a home in Moraine. An altercation between the two led to Spears stabbing Jones in his chest. Jones drove away from that home but later died from his injuries at the hospital.
Moraine Police Department identified Spears as the person who had stabbed Jones and she was apprehended.
Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 Spears was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence. She was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in prison and ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution to Jones' mother for burial expenses.
