UPDATE -- FAIRBORN -- Two people arrested and charged with murder after finding a man dead in his Mad River Township home.

One of them is a juvenile and the victim's nephew.

The two were arrested late Thursday night at apartments in Fairborn.

Sheriff Gene Kelly says it was a joint effort between law enforcement that let them catch the bad guys in just 36 hours.

This was the scene on Haddix Road in Mad River Township on Wednesday.

Deputies discovered the body of 59-year-old William Henson after a neighbor called 911.

And just 36 hours later they arrested 18-year-old Robert Winbush and 17-year-old Raymond Zimmerman, the victim's nephew.

"He actually lived with our victim for a short time and then he moved into the city of Fairborn and was living at large, "Sheriff Gene Kelly, Clark County Sheriff.

Deputies asked for help from Fairborn  police and got assistance from the SWAT Team.

"They were over that microphone saying apartment 300 come out with your hands up," said Anthony Bradley.

"This is a shining moment for law enforcement that we all came together for a common cause and that was to solve this case," said Sheriff Kelly.

But neighbors we spoke to couldn't believe that either suspect would commit burglary let alone be accused of murder.

"They were pretty much quiet. Stayed to themselves and I couldn't believe they'd do something like that," said Anthony Bradley, neighbor, "Makes your stomach turn."

The two allegedly stole dozens of guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition from the victim's home.

Deputies recovered 38 guns something Sheriff Kelly says is a win.

"All of these weapons could have ended up on the streets here in southwest Ohio with ammunition and they could have wreaked havoc on communities throughout southwest Ohio," said Sheriff Kelly.

Winbush is now in the Clark County Jail facing several charges including aggravated murder.

Zimmerman is in the juvenile center charged with murder.

MAD RIVER TOWNSHIP -- A man and boy are in jail today after being accused in the burglary and murder of a Clark County man.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Robert V. Winbush and 17-year-old Raymond Zimmerman reportedly admitted their involvement in the Jan. 14 incident during which a Mad River Township home was burglarized and its occupant -- identified later as William A. Henson -- was fatally shot in the head.

Deputies have indicated that Zimmerman is Henson's nephew.

Henson was found dead in the home after someone called 911 concerned about his welfare after not hearing from him.

The 911 caller said they went to the home, found the door unlocked and the home in disarray. The caller found Henson lying on the floor. Medics later pronounced Henson dead at the scene.

Deputies say several firearms appeared to be missing from the home. The 911 caller said Henson was known to have hundreds of firearms and thousands of dollars in cash in the home.

Following an investigation, the Regional Response Team and Clark County deputies executed search warrants in Fairborn. Winbush, whose address is listed as 300 Williams Drive, Apartment A, and Zimmerman, at nearby 340 Wallace Drive, were arrested without incident.

Deputies say they recovered 38 rifles, assorted firearms and a large amount of ammunition owned by Henson during the execution of the search warrant in Fairborn. A safe that had belonged to Henson was later found in a Dumpster at the Fairborn apartment complex.

Zimmerman was transported to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center. Winbush was taken to the Clark County Jail. Winbush has been charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and aggravated murder. Zimmerman faces a murder charge.

Winbush was arraigned this morning (Jan. 16) in Clark County Municipal Court. He pleaded not guilty and was denied bond.
