KKK Graffiti Sprayed Across Dayton Neighborhood

DAYTON -- Dayton police responded to five different reports on Monday of graffiti spray painted onto homes.

Reports came in off Ardmore Avenue, Oakridge Drive and West Third Street.

Police say the graffiti displayed KKK -- with a phone number.

Dayton police lieutenant Matthew Dickey said they already have a suspect in mind, "this was one individual who was upset with his landlord and he was attacking the landlord, not the people in that area."

We talked with one of the homeowners who wanted to remain anonymous, "it really makes you scared. Everybody should be more aware," she said.

Lt. Dickey says citizens in that area should not be afraid, "this is not intended to harass or scare the citizens in that area."

Although police know who their suspect is, they are looking for witnesses to the graffiti to go forward with charges.
