WILMINGTON -- The Wilmington Police Department says it is continuing to search for its missing K-9 police dog, Karson.
Today's efforts are focused on the central Greene County area, specifically the US 35 bypass area. They have received several reports of Karson sightings in that area.
Wilmington police ask anyone with information about Karson's whereabouts or sightings of dogs that resemble him, to call Wilmington Police Dispatch at 937-382-3833 or Xenia Police Dispatch at 937-372-9901.
Karson disappeared Dec. 23 after getting out of a kennel where he was being kept while his handler, Officer Jerry Popp was away on vacation.
Karson sightings have focused mainly on Greene County and Popp has said that the Belgian Malinois can travel long distances in short periods.
