NEW CARLISLE -- A 44-year-old woman has been charged with Making False Alarms after Clark County Sheriff's deputies said she has made numerous 911 calls to report erroneous robberies and other serious crimes.
Angela M. Butler was arrested the morning of February 28 after deputies tracked down her cell phone signal to the area of West Lake Avenue, New Carlisle. Deputies said she had made as least nine other false calls.
Butler told deputies she made the calls because she "was off her meds and does crazy things."
She was taken to the Clark County Jail and charged with three counts of Making False Alarms and Inducing Panic.
