DAYTON -- This year's Feast of Giving was a total success, and the sponsors are hoping to do it again next year.
From the music to the food, ABC 22 / FOX 45 and the rest of the sponsors worked very hard to make the 2012 Feast of Giving "the" event of the year.
"We're so grateful to be a part of such an amazing event, and to be able to bring the community together," said Lisa Barhorst, ABC 22/FOX 45 general manager.
"The Feast of Giving is the intersection of community, fellowship philanthropy, all coming together at once," said Mike Shane, chairman of LASTAR.
"It's wanted and needed in these times and we hope to carry on for many years," said Dr. Stephen Levitt of Dermatologists of Southwest Ohio.
More than 500 volunteers helped to feed nearly 6,000 people at the Dayton Convention Center.
