DAYTON--The Black Leadership Development Program hosted a panel discussion today about the media's impact on the African-American community.
Our very own Wale Aliyu was on that panel. It was held at Omega Baptist Church in Dayton.
The panel discussed the images on TV and social media, and ways people can use those outlets to promote positive images.
"Been a very engaging discussion and lots of good questions and responses about the issues," said Patricia Meadows of the Black Leadership Development Program.
The group meets once a month and the next event is focusing on crime prevention.
