DAYTON--Miami Valley Hospital cut the ribbon on their new cancer cancer today.
The center is the first of its kind in the Dayton.
Currently, many cancer patients have to go all over the area to get the treatments they need. Now with the new cancer center open, they only need to visit one place.
"This center is so important because it's comprehensive. The patient can come here to be diagnosed with cancer and stay under one roof for any type of care that they need throughout the process," says Bobbie Gerhart of the Miami Valley Hospital.
The center is staffed with more than 50 doctors ready to treat all different types of cancer patients with their new state of the art equipment.
