CLARK COUNTY -- Deputies were out in full force Friday night looking for drunk drivers. The Clark County OVI Task Force held a sobriety checkpoint at State Route 235 in Park Layne. It's the site o several deadly wrecks in past three years.
"The overall goal here is to prevent a serious crash or even fatality," said Lt. Matt Cleaveland with the Springfield OSP, "Doing that through an educational program by us being out here talking to people as well as going out here and apprehending these drivers."
The checkpoint was held from 8pm until midnight.
