DAYTON -- A 30-year-old man was charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest early Friday morning after police said he got into a fight with a friend over his cigarette rolling skills.
According to a call to police, Bobo became agitated with a mutual friend, identified by police only as Cricket, when the two of them were rolling cigarettes. Bobo was allegedly trying to teach Cricket how to roll cigarettes but Cricket wasn't catching on quickly enough.
The woman who called police said she defended Cricket at this point and Bobo punched her in the arm. She said when she refused to fight back Bobo directed his aggression toward Cricket. A fight ensued and eventually, the woman said, Cricket left the house on foot.
Police said Bobo was drinking vodka and beer when they arrived, which was soon after the fight ended. Police described him as highly intoxicated, unsteady on his feet and slurring his speech.
As police attempted to handcuff him, they said he resisted and at one point told them he wanted to grab a knife and made a move toward the kitchen.
Eventually, officers were able to handcuff Bobo and booked into the Montgomery County Jail without further incident.
