SPRING VALLEY -- A man is taken by CareFlight with serious injuries after a one-vehicle rollover Thursday night near Waynesville.
Authorities responded to the scene just before 7 p.m. after the driver lost control of the Toyota truck, which rolled one time into a nearby field.
Emergency crews had to cut the truck's top off to get the 35-year-old out. The crash happened on Cornstalk and Roxanna New Burlington Road in Greene County.
It took 15 minutes for crews to extract the man. Investigators say the man was speeding along the back road. They believe alcohol was likely a factor, too.
They say the driver did have a seat belt on.
A witness to the crash told investigators the man almost hit another car head on before hitting a utility pole and rolling 360-degrees.
Ohio State Patrol Trooper Brad Huffman says drivers need to slow down on the unlit back roads.
No one else was in the vehicle.
