TROY -- A fundraiser benefiting Ellen Garner continues until midnight today at Buffalo Wild Wings on West Main Street.
Garner was a student at the University of Cincinnati from Tipp City who succumbed to injuries she suffered in a house fire near the university several weeks ago.
Ten percent of the proceeds from today's sales at the restaurant will go directly to the Garner family. There's also a raffle featuring prizes such as football jerseys as part of the fundraiser.
Garner family spokesperson Chris Graham says Ellen's parents have been overwhelmed with how the community has supported them through Ellen's injuries and her death, ''Just saying 'thank you' doesn't do it justice. They're
overwhelmed by the response. They're overwhelmed by the love.''
Ellen's funeral is set for later this week.
