HUBER HEIGHTS--Two Huber Heights firefighters honored tonight at a special ceremony.
Chris Williams received an award tonight for his advocacy work against breast cancer.
Williams suggested the idea of creating a pink fire truck. He then went door to door gathering donations to make the transformation possible.
"Chris spent tire-less hours on making sure that this campaign was successful and to be quite honest, this thing just blew the doors off whatever we expected. We had no idea that it was going to take off the way it did," said Huber Heights Fire Chief Mark Ashworth.
Williams was also joined by his fellow firefighter Jeff Gallager.
Gallager, a fourth generation firefighter, was promoted to lieutenant.
