Meeting Planned to Discuss Proposed Canal Path in New Bremen

AUGLAIZE COUNTY -- The Village of New Bremen is holding an Open House Meeting to review and comment on the proposed Miami and Erie Canal Shared Use Path in the Village. The project is being undertaken, in part, with federal Transportation Enhancement funds distributed through ODOT.

The path would connect the downtown, Bremenfest Park and the Kuenning-Dicke Natural Area along the historic M&E Canal with an all-weather path suitable for pedestrians, bikers and the handicapped. The project will extend north to Lock Two Road.
  
Village staff will be available to answer questions and take your comments regarding the proposed improvements.

The meeting will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13. at the Miami and Erie Canal Visitors Center / Lockkeeper’s House, near the canal at the intersection of SR-274/ SR-66 in New Bremen.
