HARRISON TWP -- A pedestrian was hit by a van and rushed to the hospital late Saturday night.
It happened on the 5200 block of North Main Street just after 9 p.m.
Sheriff deputies say when they got the call, it was reported that the man had been wandering around in the street before he was hit.
The driver of the van was not injured in the collision, and it's too early for deputies to confirm any possible citations.
Deputies are just in the beginning stages of the investigation, but they are looking to see if the victim had been drinking prior to the accident.
"We have leads right now and again we're in the preliminary investigation, but we are looking into whether alcohol was a factor with the victim," Sgt. Troy Bodine of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The portion of North Main Street, will be closed for the next several hours while officials on scene investigate.
