UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON -- Packing their bags to help others.
20 University of Dayton students gathered this morning to pack up medicine and other medical supplies for a trip to Panama.
The group will be completing a medical brigade to the Latin American country.
We talked to one UD graduate student who has already taken a trip to the area, but says she is excited to lead some first time volunteers.
Lauren Farrell said, "I've spent time in Latin America and the people have just captured my heart. It's a very materially poor part of the world, but a very spiritually rich part of the world, so I'm just really excited to be able to share that with the UD students and have them get in there and get their feet wet and have a good experience."
The people down in Panama who will be taking part in the brigade live in villages far away from main cities and normally would not have any access to medical supplies.
