DAYTON--Tis' the season for sledding! Plus with the recent snow, conditions are just right. But if kids aren't careful, it could turn into a dangerous situation.
The Miami Valley didn't see much snow last year, but in 2010, the Soin Medical Center treated nearly 50 children for sledding accidents; most of them with injuries to the head.
So here's some tips to remember when taking the kids to the slopes...

- Never sled alone
- Avoid hills that at roads, fences, or parking lots
- Avoid hills with grassy spots or exposed dirt
- Don't sled around frozen bodies of water
- Dress warmly
