PREBLE COUNTY -- A husband and wife are safe after massive flames destroy their home.
Firefighters were alerted to the fire on Pleasant Valley Road, near Camden, just before 4:00 Wednesday morning. They arrived to flames shooting out of the roof and windows. The fire was sparked by a log in the fireplace.
Firefighters say the couple had working smoke detectors and they were also alerted to the fire by their dog.
The home is a total loss.
