Second Round of Snow Creates Slushy Road Conditions

MIAMI VALLEY -- The second round of snow this winter is falling and we're seeing as much as 4 inches in Celina and nearly that much in Sidney.

Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey has issued a Level One Snow Alert for unincorporated areas of Mercer County. This includes all state routes, county roads and township roads.

A Level One alert means roads are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Grey reminds drivers to be extra cautious.

Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon has issued a winter weather alert to report hazardous, snow-covered roads. The County Engineering Department has reported accumulations of 3-4 inches.

Hilary Zalla has been out on the road and reports most slushy conditions along city streets and the major county roads, whereas the secondary and rural roads are seeing some ice.
