People Prepare for Round Two of the Snow

MIAMI VALLEY -- The Miami Valley bracing for round two of this winter weather storm. Saturday morning parts of Dayton and surrounding counties can see anywhere from 2-4 inches of snow.

However, the snow isn't keeping those from taking advantage of those after Christmas sales.

The Dayton Mall was packed with those shoppers.

"I'm actually getting ready to go meet some friends at the Dayton mall, even though I'm fully aware that the snow is coming, I have an itch to shop, so I'm going to go shop , then I'm going to go home," said Ashley Edmond from Kettering.

Road crews across the Miami Valley spent most of the day preparing for the snow.  Drew Parramore, owner of Ohio Green Works says his business is thankful for this type of weather especially because of the mild winter last year. His company will be fully staffed all through the night.

"We're 24 hours, seven days per week so it doesn't matter when, where, we are there," Parramore explained.  "They're calling 2-4 inches so I don't think it will be as bad, I don't think it's going to be the wet heavy snow like it was before so it should be a little easier on us"

For people like Edmond who isn't a huge fan of the wintery mix, she isn't letting that get in the way from enjoying her holiday season.

"I try to leave my house maybe 15 to 20 minutes earlier than I'm suppose to leave, just so I can give myself enough time, a lot of people are crazy drivers so you have to drive to protect yourself as well as everyone around you," said Edmond.
