Rain Causing Problems in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY -- Heavy rain is causing major problems in Clark County.

The river is already high, and the ground is saturated with water.

Puddles are just about everywhere, and are causing problems for those who live in the area.

"It just seems like its been constant," said Kristy Hannah. "This is way more than we can handle."

Hannah owns property that's now under water along Union Road near Medway.

"Our garden's flooded, our entire property is flooded, so that's not fun," said Hannah.

Not fun for Kristy, but dangerous for her horses.

"Just getting down and not being able to get back up would be really bad," said Hannah.

Not to mention fighting the water to get to their food.

"It's definitely bad, it's worse than we've seen it in a while," said Hannah.

"Simply can't take anymore water, so whatever falls is going to run off or back up," said John Burr, Clark County Engineer.

But with nowhere to run, the water is stagnant. And with more expected, Kristy is saying a little prayer.

It'd be nice if it did it in moderation instead of all at once," she said, "Hopefully it passes soon."

There is a lot of standing water in Clark County. And if the rain doesn't let up, it'll take days for it to dry out.
