DAYTON -- A good Samaritan steps up to the plate by helping an organization that helps the homeless.
Someone stole a pickup truck out of the Homefull parking lot last week. The group uses the truck to transport homeless men who mow vacant lots in the Dayton area.
The truck was recovered, but the thieves broke the steering column, trashed the interior and ripped out the catalytic converter. Repairs will cost several thousand dollars.
Today, a good Samaritan volunteered to foot the bill. Antoine Jamison says, "it makes me feel good but I'm not in it for myself. I just want them to continue doing what they're doing, and they need their truck to do it."
Jamison says Homefull should have the truck back in service within a few days.
