ITALY-- Pope Francis makes his first pastoral visit a historic trip outside of Rome. He traveled by boat Monday to the Sicilian Island of Lampedusa.
Pope Francis is there to remember migrants and refugees who have drowned trying to reach the tiny island's shores.
To pay tribute to them he will throw a floral wreath into the sea.
Lampedusa is the first port-of-safety for people crossing by sea from North Africa to Europe.
