DAYTON--Owners lined up at the Montgomery County Animal Resource center today looking for their lost pets.
The shelter has received numerous calls about dogs running loose; scared of fireworks.
"When people take their pets to the events, dogs get scared and cause problems for people at the events besides their owners. And right now that the fourth is over, we've got people coming in looking for their lost pets," said animal control officer Bob Sexton.
To make it easier to recover your pets, the animal resource center is reminding people to make sure their pets are wearing the proper identification.
