XENIA -- Micah Jones, who police say opened fire on them and was injured when they returned fire, was released Thursday night from the hospital.
Jones, 21, of Sugarcreek Township, was arraigned Friday morning in Xenia Municipal Court on charges of aggravated robbery with a gun, two counts of kidnapping, and three counts of attempted murder. His bond had been set at $2 million.
He is accused of robbing a Xenia GameStop and then firing several rounds at police officers. Officer Brian Atkins was reportedly injured, either by a bullet or by flying glass from the cruiser's window. Officer Mark Margioras ended the the 15-plus round shootout by striking Tuck in the back. Atkins was treated and released from the hospital.
The three officers involved will be placed on paid administrative leave while the incident is being investigated.
