DAYTON -- The Dayton Muslim community is sending a message of peace and loyalty to the U.S. this Independence Day.

Dozens of members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community had booths set up for both adults and kids at the "Go 4th" event at Delco Park in Kettering.

They were handing out books and pamphlets to the public, explaining their religion.

They say the goal is to end misconceptions that Muslims are not loyal to the U.S.

"It is part of our faith, the prophet of Islam, the holy prophet Mohammad said wherever you live you shall be loyal and faithful to that country," said spokesperson Irshad Malhi

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been in Dayton for about 50 years.  Their motto is " Love for all, hatred for none."
