DETROIT -- Chrysler is recalling nearly half a million vehicles because of a problem with the active head restraints.
These straps are meant to prevent neck injuries in a rear-end crash. Inside the restraints, the micro-controllers could be faulty and stop the system from operating correctly.
Some of the models being recalled are Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Avenger, Jeep Liberty and the Dodge Nitro.
So far, Chrysler is not aware of any injuries from the problem.
