UPDATE: Findlay Police Say Three Incidence of Hazing Occurred at Basketball Camp

FINDLAY -- Findlay police say three incidents of hazing occurred at a University of Findlay basketball camp in June.  They say upperclassmen held down two lower classmen and touched their backsides.

In a third incident, one player claims his teammates restrained him and threw a water bottle at his groin.

Police say none of the victims were injured.

The investigation will continue.

Boys' Basketball Team Accused of Hazing

SIDNEY -- Members of the Fairlawn High Boys Basketball team are in hot water after allegations of hazing.

School might be out for summer, but some Fairlawn High students are in trouble and facing more than a trip to the principal's office.

Findlay Police are investigating hazing between upper classmen and under classmen on the boys basketball team.

Police wouldn't release details of the hazing incidents, but we know they happened during a basketball camp in June at the University of Findlay. Police say the events that took place on June 21 and 22 are worth an official investigation.

According to police, a school administrator learned of the hazing after the camp and started investigating on their own before deciding the police should be involved.

We tried to get a comment from the Fairlawn superintendent regarding the allegations against his students, the school board office is closed for the week.

We did talk to some local high school athletes who weren't surprised by the news, but definitely disappointed.

"I think that's ridiculous. Your own teammates shouldn't do that to your own teammates. It's wrong," said Roma Pereria of Houston High School.

"I just feel it's really rude that they would do that and how they would feel in their mindset to do that to other players," Pereria's softball teammate and Houston sophomore Taylor Woods added.

No arrests have been made in this case.

Findlay Police say Fairlawn High School officials are cooperating with the Findlay Police Department during the initial stages of this ongoing investigation.
