FAIRBORN -- Police and prosecutors have closed their investigation into the allegations against a Baker Middle School math teacher who allegedly duct taped a student to a desk.
The Fairborn Police Department on Monday morning issued a statement saying the Greene County Prosecutorâs Office and the Fairborn City Prosecutorâs Office have declined to file any criminal charges against Scott Dammeyer, an 11-year veteran of the school.
"The investigation is now closed and this matter has been referred back to the Fairborn City Schools," the statement reads.
According to Dammeyer's personnel file, in 2007 he was required to undergo anger management training when he "became angry in class and it affected his ability to manage class."
Dammeyer was to remain on paid administrative leave until the investigation was complete.
We are checking with the school and will bring you the latest details as soon as possible.
