Could Less Sleep Mean More Weight?

UNDATED -- Americans are getting less sleep each night and we're also gaining more weight.

And now, researchers say they might know why the two are connected. They say if you're getting less sleep there's more time to snack.

They say the obesity rate is rising as the amount of sleep we're getting is going down.

So they studied a group of people's sleep habits, they say those who are sleep-deprived ate about 500 calories more each day because they had the extra time.
