DAYTON -- The NAACP held a meeting Monday night to help local veterans. The organization invited vets to learn more about the benefits and educational opportunities that are out there for veterans.
The Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission says they are always available to help.
''It's very beneficial for us to get that info out; to have them come down to see us, sit down with us one-on-one, let's go over their VA benefits and see if there is anything they might be qualified for or might be something they may have no knowledge about at all. We're there just to help the veterans," said Jesse Johnson of the Montgomery County Service Commission.
