DAYTON -- A Dayton woman is arrested after police say she put her one year old daughter on top of a hot stove.
34-year old Karen Waitzman is charged with child endangering after a relative discovered severe burns on the child's legs and backside.
Police believe the incident happened sometime Saturday at a home on Seneca Drive.
The little girl was taken to Dayton Children's Hospital where she is in stable condition.
Police are still investigating why Waitzman burned her daughter but say mental health reason may be to blame.
When the baby is released she will be cared for by a family member.
