DAYTON -- In May, Dr. Margaret Edwards asked the court to withdraw her no contest plea to the charge of failure to report child abuse after 14-year-old Makayla Norman died while in her care.

Norman suffered from cerebral palsy and weighed only 28 pounds when she died in 2011.

Today in court, with new lawyers, Edwards, 51, withdrew that motion to withdraw that plea.

Her sentencing, which had been scheduled first for May 16 was delayed until May 29. She then withdrew her plea.

Now that she's withdrawn this latest motion, she is scheduled to be sentenced at 2 p.m. Aug. 6.

She also is required to surrender her medical license before her sentencing.
