NEW CARLISLE--A Clark County oil company is rebuilding after a massive fire destroyed it.
The fire gutted Springfield's R.D Holder Oil Plant in April of 2012. All four of its buildings were reduced to rubble.
The company temporarily relocated its operation to Bellefontaine, but now a new plant will open in New Carlisle.
"I was up there the night the other building was burning down and you just felt the pain for the man....and he stayed with us, and he works hard and he was able to adjust.," said Clark County Commissioner John Detrick.
The city of New Carlisle along with Clark County commissioners helped the oil distributor rebuild through a job retention program.
The new plant will open in August and they will be looking to hire additional employees over the next year.
