DAYTON -- Local law enforcement is on the run. This time, it's for a good cause.
Officers carried a torch from the Centerville Police Department in Montgomery County all the way to the Dayton Police Headquarters downtown.
The run helps raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics.
The torch will ultimately end up in Columbus for the Summer Games this weekend.
Hamilton Police Department's Sgt. Ed Buns says, "law enforcement is going to help them take care of that child by providing training and the ability to be self-sufficient through the money raised by the law enforcement torch run."
Opening ceremonies for the Special Olympics will be held tomorrow night.
