MIAMI VALLEY -- In this week's Pay It Forward segment we recognize Me So Artsy, a group of remarkable 8-year-olds who are giving back one wagon at a time.

When children are in the hospital, they are often stuck in bed with nothing to do.

One of the 8-year-olds, Keelie Miller, says, "Emma is the one who started it, actually, because she had a lot of surgeries in her ears."

Emma explains, "I had two in one and one in the other and then my neighbor was fighting cancer.  I heard my mom talking about it with my neighbor and I decided that I wanted to do something."

That's exactly what she did.  Emma, Lilly, Makaela and Keelie raise money every month to bring wagons of donations to Dayton Children's Hospital.

Makaela says, "we have markers, stuffed animals, puzzles, coloring books, stickers and bubbles."

"They are all of my best friends.  I wanted some time with my friends and I wanted to give to others," explains Emma.

In addition to donating wagons, they also have a blanket drive every December.

It all started in 2010, and these little girls have some big goals.

Emma continues, "We're trying to get it bigger by sending out emails to people and telling them that they can support us in different ways."

River Valley Credit Union has awarded Me So Artsy with $250 for all the work they do to help the kids at Dayton Children's Hospital feel more comfortable.
