COLUMBUS (AP) -- Gas prices in Ohio keep moving in the right direction.

After hovering around $4 a gallon for a couple weeks because of refinery problems in the Great Lakes region, prices at the pump here have fallen 42 cents in the past two weeks.

The state average for a gallon of regular gas was $3.50 in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's down 24 cents less than at the same time last week.

The Ohio price is now below the national average of $3.57 -- 4 cents lower than last week and 7 cents lower than this time last month.

Refinery problems were blamed for pushing gas prices way up earlier in June.
