VANDALIA -- Several people we spoke with on Sunday said it was important to continue with the Air Show after the tragedy of Saturday's fatal plane crash. Some said they were excited for the show to go on.
"It's great for our region, just to get together and have something like this, things like this need to go on and Dayton's got one of the better ones in the whole world," said Greg Hill of Dayton.
Fred Feltz of Kettering who attended today's show shared the same sentiments.
"These people do very dangerous things so its horribly unfortunate but I appreciate that they kept going and were able to keep presenting the air show today."
Other visitors had nostalgic memories of Dayton Air Shows in the past.
"I feel like I'm his age again, I didn't think I would be looking at the airplanes going cool but I am, that's why I think I enjoy it more than he does," said Mike Blackney of Miamisburg.
Many attendees said they enjoyed today's show and can't wait to come back again. Air show officials are expected to release the attendance numbers of this year's show Monday.
