EXCLUSIVE: Friend of Crash Victim Talks About Fallen Wing-Woman

VANDALIA -- One of the victim in Saturday's plane crash, Jane Wicker loved what she did, and so did her pilot, Charlie Schwenker.

We've learned a lot about them on their websites and Facebook pages, but we also caught up with a woman who flew with Jane the other day -- they became fast friends.

"We heard that horrible noise, and then boom."

Kris Nuss feared the worst -- her new friend had gone down at the Dayton Air Show.

Just yesterday she was flying with Jane Wicker and her pilot Charlie Schwenker.

Kris had the ride of a lifetime, even wing walking herself!

"Absolutely fabulous people," said Kris Nuss, "I was amazed at how much trust both of them had in each other and with a stranger to let me get on top of their 1941 Steerman."

Kris snapped some great pics and video before flying with Charlie who's been a pilot since the 1970s.

Wicker's been a wing-walker since the early 1990's, and she's also a pilot and engaged to be married.

Featured in this TLC "Thrillseeker" special years ago, her kids are teens now, but this month loved it from the moment she tried it.

She talked about being at home and alive when she's on the wings.

"I like to experience things that are thrill-seeking and fun, but that aren't deadly."

Those words are now haunting, as the announcer said she "was on top of the world" -- her breathtaking stunt came crashing down Saturday, stunning the crowd and the woman who was the last to fly with her.

"She was such a gregarious, nice, fun-loving person. She struck me as the type who never met a stranger."

We haven't learned a whole lot about the pilot, Charlie, ut we knew he's from Virginia. He's one of several pilots who fly with Jane.
