KETTERING -- Kettering Police say over the past week, they have had a half dozen overnight burglaries.
Police tell us the burglaries are happening west of Far Hills Avenue.
We talked to a neighbor of one of the homes on Blossomheath Avenue about the recent break-ins.
Phyllis Dotson says she's lived on the street since the 1970's and has always felt safe.
"It's been wonderful to raise children," she said.
She says she still feels safe, but concerned after police say someone cut the screen of a window to get inside the home.
"That's surprising to me and it's raising my awareness," she said.
Dotson says she's been keeping an eye out after she got a weird feeling that someone was eying her home, "the other day I was aware that this car was driving slowly by and pointing," she said.
Police say homeowners need to make sure all their ground level windows are secured -- and don't leave them open over night.
They also say double check your doors and garages.
