DAYTON -- According to a police report, 46-year-old Roderick Blackburn was shot just after midnight Thursday.
Dayton Police officers were in the area of the shooting and responded to the scene as the call came in.
Witnesses say three suspects were described as black males in dark clothing who ran eastbound away from the Broadway Street residence. One of the males was described as "chunky" with sagging pants, which had to be held up while running.
A grey Impala was also spotted in the area and the suspect might have gotten away in that.
Police said several shell casings were found in the area of the shooting. Blackburn was reportedly shot in the shoulder and is expected to be OK.

DAYTON -- A man is rushed to the hospital after a shooting. It happened just after midnight on Broadway Street. Police say the victim was hit once in the shoulder.
The victim told police he was sitting outside with some friends, when the shooters started firing. Another bullet hit a van and one hit a building. Police are still searching for the shooters.
The suspects are believed to be driving a silver Impala. The victim is expected to be OK.
