PHILLIPSBURG -- There was an accident this evening involving two semis heading southbound on State Route 49.
The incident occurred at State and Main St. when one semi rear-ended the other, causing about 100 gallons of diesel fuel to leak. Some of the fuel went into sewer drains.
Regional Hazmat was called to the scene to try to prevent more fuel from entering the drains.
The driver who rear-ended the other was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road is closed in both directions and traffic is currently being rerouted.
