UPDATE: 3-Year-Old Girl Reappears After Several-Hour Search

HARRISON TWP. -- Police are investigating after a 3-year-old girl was missing for several hours Sunday night.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies say they were in the area of the apartment complex on Embassy Place in Harrison Township about 10:30 p.m. when a resident approached them saying a mother was looking for her toddler.

Deputies say there had been no missing persons reports at this point and police began searching for 3-year-old Briann Wilson. Deputies say the mother told them her daughter had been missing since about 9:30 p.m.

Deputies went door-to-door asking about the girl, after her mother said she was last seen playing with neighborhood kids.

Police were about to deploy a helicopter that uses thermal imaging to search a nearby wooded area when the girl reappeared.

The 3-year-old was checked by a medic and was determined to be in good health. Detectives say they don't suspect any kind of foul play but they are continuing to investigate. The prosecutor will determine whether the mother should face charges.
